The First Molly- MOLLY MURPHY

The first Molly on this quest is Molly Murphy from the book Murphy's Law by Rhys Bowen. I truly loved this book, and I loved this Molly from the get go. I didn't even care that she had killed a man! I knocked this one out in one glorious afternoon at the beach.

Molly Murphy is an Irish lass (they say lass, right?) in the early 20th century when some unfortunate circumstances (did I mention she killed someone)force her to take another woman's children to America. The woman has TB by the way. She didn't kidnap them. Shortly after arriving in Ellis Island, she becomes prime suspect in another murder and she tries to prove her innocence and help the police along, all without revealing her true identity.

Molly Murphy is quick witted (unlike me) and has a huge mouth (really unlike me). She's very adventurous and has a knack for getting herself in very sticky situations and miraculously getting out of them. She definitely has a good heart and cares about others, which is one of only a few similarities between the two of us that I can think of. I loved reading her story and I sure am glad this was the first in a series. I can't wait to read more! I think Miss Murphy was a great Molly to start with. She was awesome, to say the least.
